REBEKAH AMBROSINI, Contralto
Contralto Rebekah Ambrosini makes her debut with Maestro
Scott and the Helena Symphony performing Bernstein’s Jeremiah
Symphony. Ms. Ambrosini has performed leading
roles in opera, concert, oratorio, and musical theater. She
has performed with Tulsa Opera, Sarasota Opera, Cincinnati
Opera, Des Moines Metro Lyric Opera, Music Theater of Wichita,
Oklahoma Lyric Theater, and the Festival de Lille in France. Recently,
she performed the role of “Hansel” in Hansel
and Gretel with the National Symphony Orchestra of Taiwan.
Ms. Ambrosini made her Carnegie Hall debut with Musica Sacra
conducted by Richard Westenburg as the alto soloist in Mozart’s Requiem.
Other oratorio performances include Handel’s Messiah, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Handel’s Judas
Maccabaeus Duruflé’s Requiem,
Bach’s Cantata No. 54, Bach’s Magnificat,
and Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass.
Included among her concert performances are Mahler’s
Symphony No. 8 with the Utah Symphony and the Mormon Tabernacle
Choir with Keith Lockhart, Beethoven’s Symphony No.
9, Bernstein’s Jeremiah Symphony, Mahler’s Resurrection
Symphony, Elgar’s Sea Pictures, and the
world premiere of Richard Cumming’s Aspects of
Hippolytus with the Hartford Symphony.
Her musical theater credits include “Laurie” in Oklahoma, performed
for the Centennial Celebration of the 1893 Oklahoma Land
Run, “Hodel” in a national tour of Fiddler
on the Roof, and “Julie” in Showboat with
the Oklahoma Lyric Theater.
Ms. Ambrosini is currently a Doctoral Fellow
at the University of Oklahoma and a Visiting Instructor of
Voice at Oklahoma City University.
