MEGAN DELIGHT BUNESS, soprano

Soprano Megan Delight Buness makes her debut with
Maestro Scott and the Helena Symphony as “Mercédès” in Carmen. She
received her Bachelor of Music in Voice from St. Olaf College
and her Master of Music from the University of Denver. She
is on the voice faculty of the Community College of Denver
and the Metropolitan State College of Denver.
Ms. Buness’ operatic appearances include the
Colorado Opera Troupe, Opera Passaggio and the University of
Denver’s opera program. Her operatic roles include “Dorabella” in
Mozart’s Così fan tutte and “Barbara
Ansley” in Ward’s Roman Fever. More
recently, Ms. Buness has appeared as a soprano soloist with
orchestra in Mozart’s Litaniae Laurentanae and
in the world premiere of Leavitt’s Requiem under the
composer’s direction at Carnegie Hall. Ms. Buness
has sung opera programs in Austria and for the last three years
she has been singing with the New York Opera Studio.
