GRETCHEN MUNDINGER, Soprano

Hailed as an “expressive singer with a powerhouse
sound,” Soprano Gretchen Mundinger is active in opera,
teaching, and accompanying in New York City. A versatile
perfumer, Ms. Mundinger has appeared in Carnegie Hall and
in the Emmy Award winning daytime drama All My Children. Her
opera roles include the “Third Lady” in Die
Zauberflöte, “Frasquita” in Carmen, “Bridget
O’Malley “ in the world premiere of A.F.R.A.I.D. and “Rosalinda” in Die
Fledermaus. Upcoming performances include“Amor”in L’Incoronazione di
Poppea and the “Mother” in Amahl and
The Night Visitors.
A proponent of new music and bringing music to children,
Ms. Mundinger is an active singer with the Remarkable Theater
Brigade (RTB), a theater company focused on providing
at-risk and special-needs children with an opportunity to
experience theatrical and musical productions.
Ms. Mundinger maintains an active private vocal studio in
New York City. She is currently working on her Master’s
Degree at Brooklyn College Conservatory of Music.
In the role of “Frasquita” in this Season’s
production of Carmen, she makes her debut with Maestro
Scott and the Helena symphony.
