STEFANIE FLYNN, Stage Director

Following last season’s stunning success as Stage Director of La Bohème with Maestro Scott and the Helena Symphony, Ms. Flynn returns to direct Bizet’s Carmen. She has previously performed the Helena Symphony as “Mrs. Lovett” in Sweeney Todd during the 2004-2005 Season.

Ms. Flynn is a classically trained pianist, cellist and vocalist, and received her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Montana State University. An individual of many talents, in her 23-year career she has been an actress, singer, director, designer and teacher - a career that has encompassed over 100 major stage productions across Montana and in Tennessee. In addition to “Mrs. Lovett,” other favorite roles include the “Witch” in Sondheim’s Into the Woods and “Rita” in Educating Rita. Her other directing credits include Interim Artistic Director of the Whitefish Theatre in 2002. Currently, she teaches piano and Broadway voice in Helena.
