JAMES HEATON, Narrator
Mr. Heaton returns to bring his considerable acting and
narrative skills to the Helena Symphony in a performance
of the Incidental Music from Peer Gynt. His
collaboration with Maestro Scott goes back to 2001, when
he read poetry for a performance of Dukas’ Sorcerer’s
Apprentice, and later narrated Carnival of the Animals and Midsummernight’s
Dream. For the past twenty-seven years, Mr. Heaton
has been active in Northern Colorado as a scholar, writer,
singer, and actor. He has sung and acted principal
roles in numerous productions, including Amadeus, My
Fair Lady, Threepenny Opera, Puccini’s La
Bohéme, and Sondheim’s A Funny Thing
Happened on the Way to the Forum. Over the
past several years, he has performed with the Bas Bleu Theatre,
the Larimer Chorale, and the Front Range Chamber Players. He
appeared in the 2005-2006 Season with the Helena Symphony
as the narrator-actor forIncidental Music to Midsummer
Night’s Dream.
