James Heaton

Mr. Heaton returns to bring his considerable acting and narrative skills to the Helena Symphony in a performance of the Incidental Music from Peer Gynt.  His collaboration with Maestro Scott goes back to 2001, when he read poetry for a performance of Dukas’ Sorcerer’s Apprentice, and later narrated Carnival of the Animals and Midsummernight’s Dream.  For the past twenty-seven years, Mr. Heaton has been active in Northern Colorado as a scholar, writer, singer, and actor.  He has sung and acted principal roles in numerous productions, including Amadeus, My Fair Lady, Threepenny Opera, Puccini’s La Bohéme, and Sondheim’s A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.   Over the past several years, he has performed with the Bas Bleu Theatre, the Larimer Chorale, and the Front Range Chamber Players.  He appeared in the 2005-2006 Season with the Helena Symphony as the narrator-actor forIncidental Music to Midsummer Night’s Dream.
