Nearly 2,000 fourth and fifth graders from over seven school districts throughout Montana are invited
through their school music programs to attend a concert created just for them, The young music lovers
are entertained and inspired all while learning the importance of music in one's education and life.
Tickets are not sold for this concert - students attend through their school music program.
The Helena Symphony Orchestra & Chorale performs the first of two concerts of the thrilling, powerful, and heart-captivating music of the Russian greats. Alexander Scriabin's Symphony No. 1 praises the sovereignty of art, and the concert culminates with one of the greatest artistic salvations of humankind in a performance Shostakovich's provocative Fifth Symphony.

Russian Nights continues with critically acclaimed Romanian Cellist Ovidiu Marinescu joins the HSO for a performance of works by Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky, and Stravinsky's Firebird.

It is going to be big - REALLY BIG! After seven years, the Helena Symphony's Annual Mahler Celebration climaxes with Mahler's Symphony No. 8 - frequently called the Symphony of a Thousand. Originally featuring with over a 1,000 performances, Mahler's largest work captures mankind's redemption through the power of love. Joined by several other ensembles from throughout the country, the performance features 300 singers, 50 children singers, 100 players, and 8 soloists. It is the event of a life time and is included with your subscription!!!!
