The Helena Symphony announces individual tickets for the 2025-2026 Masterworks Concerts will go on sale to the public on Monday, August 18. The Helena Symphony is the oldest year-long performing arts organization in Helena, and its 71st Season features many critically acclaimed guest artists, more than 30 masterpieces of music, and more than 17 captivating performances. The six Masterworks Concerts in the subscription series provide something for all music lovers. Unless otherwise noted, all performances are held at the Helena Civic Center at 7:30 p.m. The Masterworks Series is generously presented by AARP Montana.

September 13, 2025 – Masterworks Concert I opens the Season with a bang as world-acclaimed New Zealand Percussionist Fabian Ziegler brings to life the fiery Percussion Concerto of American composer Joseph Schwantner. The Helena Symphony showcases its virtuosity performing Strauss’s Don Juan and Respighi’s massively immersive Pines of Rome. This performance starts at 5:30 p.m. and the Opening Night After Party begins at 7:30 p.m.

October 25, 2025 – Masterworks Concert II celebrates one of the first great female composers and pianists, Clara Schumann who had a deep and meaningful connection with Johannes Brahms. Her only piano concerto displays her artistic brilliance, while Brahms’ powerful Requiem brings connection to all of humanity.

January 24, 2026 – Masterworks Concert III invites you to experience Tchaikovsky’s moving final symphony. From passion and suffering of the Pathétique Symphony to the shimmering beauty and restlessness of Prokofiev’s Second Violin Concerto with Violinist Richard Amoroso of the Philadelphia Orchestra, this concert evokes an unforgettable emotional journey.

February 21, 2026 – Masterworks Concert IV illuminates a path to eternal peace with Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms. As a revolution and a revelation, Beethoven’s monumental Symphony No. 3, Eroica, changed music forever, complete with dramatic grandeur, sorrow, and personal and political triumph.

March 21, 2026 – Masterworks Concert V transports you through the cosmos – from the might of Mars to the serenity of Neptune! Holst’s celestial masterpiece The Planets is coupled with Jennifer Higdon’s GRAMMY® award-winning, rip-roaring Harp Concerto performed by HSO Principal Harpist Tess Flammond.

May 9, 2026 – Masterworks Concert VI crowns Season 71 with Rossini’s comedy that never stops with the complications, frustrations, entanglements, and silliness of Rosina, Count Almaviva, Dr. Bartolo, and Figaro – the Barber of Seville. Enjoy this fully staged production with an all-star cast and come ready to laugh!
