The Director of Development works with the Music Director, Symphony staff, Development Committee, and Special Events Committee to: increase resource development for the Helena Symphony; oversee special events and projects that generate donors and revenue; and provide support for general Symphony operations.
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for working with and assisting the Helena Symphony in an open, efficient, and professional manner, and assisting the staff in the accomplishment of the Helena Symphony’s mission. The ideal candidate understands and embraces the Music Director’s vision and goals of the Helena Symphony and the role the Helena Symphony plays in the region.
The Orchestra Librarian is responsible for providing and organizing all of the music needed for performances to the Orchestra, conducting staff, and for maintaining and curating the Orchestra’s library of parts and scores. As a member of the Artistic Administration, the Orchestra Librarian coordinates concert production with other staff members, participates in artistic planning, and works directly with the Music Director, Director of Artistic Planning, and the musicians of the Helena Symphony Orchestra. The Orchestra Librarian position exists to support the work of the Music Director and the artistic vision of the Helena Symphony.
In accordance with the Helena Symphony’s mission, vision, and goals, the Stage Manager:
- serves as a liaison amongst the various individuals involved in concert production
- ensures that all elements of the performance run effectively and in a professional manner
- oversees any contracted stage crew, and reports directly to the Operations Manager
The Helena Symphony Orchestra is a regional professional orchestra and works under a collective bargaining agreement.

The Helena Symphony Chorale schedules auditions upon request or as needed. Singers must be able to read music and who have choral experience are welcome to audition.
The 90-voice chorale currently rehearses Sunday evenings, 6:00-9:00 p.m.
