On Saturday, Sept. 13, the Helena Symphony invites audiences along on an extraordinary musical journey when they open their 71st season with Masterworks Concert I: “Pines of Rome” at 5:30 p.m. at the Helena Civic Center followed by an Opening Night After Party.
“It’s very much a wow type of concert,” said Maestro Allan R. Scott, music director for the Helena Symphony.
While the Helena Symphony only recently wrapped up their historic 70th season, they already have their sights set on kicking things up a notch for the incoming season.
“It’s exciting as always,” said Scott. “There’s so much music to perform and you feel like you never have enough time to get everything you want out, but I think we really have an exciting year planned.”
“The goal is always to bring in world-class soloists who perform all over the world, to feature music that people certainly love and know but also tons of music that people might not know but will be equally excited about,” continued Scott. “The thing is, it’s diverse. There is something for everyone.”
