(HELENA) – The Helena Symphony and Carroll College has announced their continued collaboration for the Helena Community Credit Union Symphony Under the Stars concert event and fireworks show on Saturday, July 21 at 8:30 p.m. on the campus of Carroll College.  Considered the largest summer event in Montana, the much-anticipated Symphony Under the Stars attracts well over 15,000 people from all over the state of Montana and beyond.

In addition, it was announced that the Helena Community Credit Union has entered into a multi-year commitment for the naming rights of the Symphony Under the Stars as its principal sponsor. The Credit Union has been the sole sponsor of the fireworks finale for several years, which will continue.  The naming rights sponsorship reflects a commitment to the growth of the event, as well as providing stability into the future.

The 15th annual concert will feature the award-winning music of the Star Wars franchise, composed by the legendary John Williams. Music will be chosen from all eight of the saga movies.

“Symphony Under the Stars has become an important Montana tradition,” said Helena Symphony Music Director Allan R. Scott. “Carroll College and the Helena Symphony, and now the Helena Community Credit Union have committed to keeping this concert alive.”

“We are grateful to our sponsors for helping ensure the viability of an event that so many Montana families continue to make a part of their summer plans,” said Father Stephen Rowan, Interim President of Carroll College.

“At HCCU, we work to cultivate community and strive to make Helena a great place to live, work, and play,” said Greg Strizich, CEO of Helena Community Credit Union.  “We are honored to be the principal sponsor of Symphony Under the Stars, which is one of Helena’s most beloved annual events.”

Specific details regarding seating, parking and other production information will be made known at a later date.  Those interested in sponsorship opportunities, or with general questions can contact the Helena Symphony office at 406.442.1860.
