The Helena Symphony announces Season Tickets are on sale for the 2026-2027 Season! The Helena Symphony is the oldest yearlong performing arts organization in Helena, and its 72nd Season features many critically acclaimed guest artists, more than 25 masterpieces of music, and more than 29 captivating performances. The six Masterworks Concerts in the subscription series provide something for all music lovers. Unless otherwise noted, all performances are held at the Helena Civic Center at 7:30 p.m. The Masterworks Series is generously presented by AARP Montana.

September 12, 2026 – Opening Night ~ America 250 opens the Season with the soul of American classical music with Samuel Barber’s evocative Violin Concerto and Aaron Copland’s majestic and uplifting Third Symphony. Celebrate 72 years of the Helena Symphony’s music-making with multiple masterpieces, an internationally noted artist, dinner, drinks, auctions, the Opening Night After Party, and your Helena Symphony Orchestra! This performance starts at 5:30 p.m. and the dazzling Opening Night After Party begins at 7:30 p.m.

October 24, 2026 – Tchaikovsky & Cellist Ovidiu Marinescu invites you to indulge in the warmth, elegance, and the breathtaking beauty of Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings. World-renowned Cellist Ovidiu Marinescu returns, bringing his artistry to the season as the Helena Symphony’s Composer-in-Residence.

January 23, 2027 – Violinist Stephen Cepeda Plays Saint-Saëns transports you with the mastery of Concertmaster Stephen Cepeda as he brings the musical brilliance and dazzling virtuosity of Saint-Saëns’ Violin Concerto No. 3 to life.

February 20, 2027 – Forbidden Love: Romeo & Juliet meets West Side Story enchants you with timeless tales of love and conflict combined with the dynamic energy of music from Bernstein’s West Side Story and Prokofiev’s ballet Romeo & Juliet in a concert that captures heartbreak, rivalry, and the power of music.

April 2 & 4, 2027 – La Traviata ensnares attendees with the passion and tragedy of Verdi’s timeless opera of love, sacrifice, and redemption in this staged production of La Traviata and see why it has inspired films like Pretty Woman and Moulin Rouge!

May 1, 2027 – Beethoven’s Farewell crowns Season 72 with Beethoven’s sublime Missa Solemnis on the 200th anniversary of his death. Experience this profound emotional and spiritual journey that is “from the heart – may it go to the heart.”

“We have excellent seats available in all price levels of the Civic Center for the Masterworks Series presented by AARP Montana,” says Helena Symphony Director of Patron Services Scott Kall. “By purchasing a subscription, you can save up to 10% versus purchasing each concert individually.”

Season Tickets can be purchased by calling the Symphony Box Office (406.442.1860), or visiting the Symphony Box Office located in the Placer Building at 21 N. Last Chance Gulch, Suite 100 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday – Friday. Subscriptions can also be purchased online beginning March 2 at helenasymphony.org. Subscriptions range from $135 to $432 depending on location. Tickets to individual concerts will become available August 3.
