The Helena Symphony opens the 71st Season on Saturday September 13th in grand style! Open the season with a bang as world acclaimed Percussion soloist Fabian Ziegler brings American composer Joseph Schwantner’s fiery Percussion Concerto to life.  The HSO also performs their own virtuosity with Strauss’s Don Juan and Respighi’s massively immersive Pines of Rome.

After the concert, join the Helena Symphony in the Civic Center Ballroom for the Opening Night After Party. The Opening Night After Party will be a joyous and vibrant celebration complete with exquisite catered fare, cocktails, and a thrilling silent and live auction. Featured items will include experiences donated by Orofino, Symphony Under the Stars, The Union, Summer Star Ranch, the Holter Museum, and Montana Public Radio! Fabian Ziegler, Percussion

Fabian Ziegler is dedicated to bringing innovative compositions by renowned composers such as Daniel Schnyder, Arash Safaian, John Psathas, Avner Dorman, Serj Tankian, and many more to life. His aim is to elevate the percussion repertoire to another level and to work on original and significant projects with leading composers in the international music world. In recent seasons, he collaborated with the Musikkollegium Winterthur, the Zurich Chamber Orchestra, the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra Wellington, the City Light Symphony Orchestra, the Zurich Sing-Akademie, the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra, the

Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana,the Argovia Philharmonic, and he worked with Daniel Hope and the New Century Chamber

Orchestra, among many other organizations and labels. He recently debuted with the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, Staatsorchester Braunschweig and in concert halls worldwide, including performances in South Korea, the United States, Lithuania, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
